These dishes were created by pinch pot method using a white stoneware clay body. Then painted with slip and carved to create the design known as the sgraffito technique. Then the piece is fired and glazed with a matte transparent glaze. The glaze is soft and smooth to the touch. 22k Gold Luster was applied to the handles and fired to cone 018.
