Ready to Ship
This bowl with a spoon was created using handpinching methods with a white stoneware clay body. Then decorated using the sgraffito technique where I carve through the slip with loop tools to create the design. Then the piece is bisque fired, glazed then fired again to 2170 degrees, and then a 22k gold luster is painted on the handle and fired a third time to cone 018. The surface of the bowl is soft and smooth to the touch.

( the coloring due to natural lighting and timing of the day makes the slip look black, however it is a deep blue)
